James Richardson International Airport

The James Armstrong Richardson International Airport in Winnipeg, Manitoba is the first free-standing airport in Canada and the second in North America to be LEED certified.

“Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects have delivered a world-class design that is both exciting and responsible,” said Barry Rempel, President & CEO of the Winnipeg Airports Authority. “More than a place to transport people and products, the new terminal truly reflects the spirit of the community.”

Throughout the Airport Gordon Inc custom designed reveals were used as a transition between acoustic and drywall ceilings.  The 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" reveals have a drywall taping flange one side and an acoustic ledge on the other.  Where required sections were factory curved for simple on site installation.  Corners were factory welded precision and contributed to the clean look.
