Wood Fibre Acoustic Panels

Good acoustics are essential to creating comfortable, functional spaces, and acoustic solutions can offer more than just sound control.

SoundWool and SoundWool+ from Sound Concepts combine the distinctive texture of wood fiber with acoustic performance, durability and design flexibility, making them ideal for a variety of commercial and institutional applications.

SoundWool features natural wood fibers and an inorganic cement binder, delivering a textured architectural finish with NRC ratings of 0.50 to 0.70. Its impact-resistant construction makes it well suited to high-traffic spaces such as schools, gymnasiums, restaurants and places of worship.

SoundWool+ builds on this design by combining a 1-inch wood fiber panel with a 1-inch fiberglass acoustic layer. The result is a 2-inch panel with an NRC of 0.80, offering enhanced sound absorption while maintaining the distinctive wood wool appearance.

Both products offer cost-effective performance, simple installation and flexible design options, including natural and painted finishes, custom colours, various panel shapes and mounting configurations. Their durable, mold- and mildew-resistant surfaces make them well suited to demanding environments and are tested to CAN/ULC-S102 for fire performance.
